Studio City sits just south of North Hollywood, and a fair number of the implant patients we see at 10545 Victory Blvd come from there. Most of them have already been quoted somewhere else and want to know two things: what the price actually covers, and how long the whole thing takes. Here are straight answers to both.

What the $2,050 package covers

Our single-tooth dental implant package is $2,050 per tooth, and it covers three parts: the implant itself, the abutment that connects it to the crown, and the crown. Extractions, CT scans, and bone grafting cost extra if needed. We say that in the same breath as the price because it is the part people most often feel surprised by later.

Whether you need any of those extras depends on your mouth, not on a sales script. A tooth that is already gone does not need an extraction. A site with enough bone does not need a graft. You get an itemized written quote before anything starts, so the number you agree to is the number you pay for the work listed.

Why we plan from the crown back

The crown is the part you chew with and the part people see, so we plan it first and work backward to where the implant should sit. Using 3D imaging and an iTero scan of your bite, we build the plan on screen: the implant, the abutment, and the final crown against the opposing tooth.

An implant that looks fine on an X-ray but sits wrong in the bite tends to cause trouble early. Planning the crown first is how we avoid that, and it is the same approach we walk through in what a real implant consult looks like.

How the timeline usually runs

A straightforward single implant takes about three to four months from placement to final crown for most patients. Most of that time is healing, while the implant integrates with the bone. Nothing is happening in the chair during those weeks, but it is the part that makes the implant last.

When it takes longer

If a bone graft is needed, the timeline gets longer, and we will tell you that at the planning stage rather than halfway through. If someone offers to finish a complicated case in a few weeks, it is fair to ask what they are skipping.

One doctor, start to finish

The same doctor plans and delivers your implant from the first visit to the final crown. For patients driving up from Studio City, that also means fewer handoffs and fewer repeat explanations.

Paying for it

An implant is a real expense, and it is fine to plan around a budget. Our payment estimator shows monthly payments through Cherry, which uses a soft credit check that does not affect your credit score, with 0% APR for qualifying patients. Whatever offer you get, look at the total of all payments, not only the monthly figure. Our post on how Cherry financing works covers what to read before you sign.

What patients tell us

We would rather let a patient describe it. From a recent Google review by Arvin A.: "Over the years he's handled just about everything for me, from simple fillings to a root canal and implants, and every procedure has been easy and completely painless."
